Student Comments:
I started the BioWork and BioPharma programs with zero previous BioTech/Pharma experience. Upon completion of BioWorks in May 2010, I applied for a job at Merck’s Durham plant.

I worked the night shift as a member of the dedicated cleaning and facility support team. After a year of service, I was able to apply for their tuition reimbursement and spent the next four years completing my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, finishing in September 2015. During this time I was lucky enough to be selected as the Durham representative for our “I am Merck” campaign, which utilizes my image across our global network.

Upon completion of my bachelor’s, I qualified for a much wider set of positions. I applyied to our Supply Chain Management Group and last week was accepted to a positon in our Learning and Development Group as a trainer.

Thanks for everything,
R. Scherff

Hope you are doing very well. Just to give you some updates about my position at Revlon as QA Technician. Many things that I learned from the Biowork program is actually what I'm doing here. Again thank you. The Biowork has been a great push forward for me.
